// First impression: Essence LE Winter? Wonderful!

Hello Internetians!

It's December.
It's winter.
Christmas is on its way and everyone needs to get some presents for their loved ones (well, not me. I bought the last present yesterday so I guess I'm well-prepared :D)
And while I was on a stroll around our local drugstore I couldn't help but notice the latest essence le called "Winter? Wonderful!"
At first I thought "Why would you call your le that... winter is only wonderful as long as you don't have to go outside and face the cold."
Yea, you can see I'm not really fond of winter haha but anyway, I'm that kind of person who always falls for a cute packaging so I couldn't resist and got three items out of all those good-looking lippies, nail varnishes, blushes, highlighters, eyeshadows and hand balms.

As I'm a sucker for eyeshadow, I just HAD to buy the "all ice on me" eyeshadow palette (3,99€)
If you know me you probably also know about my struggle of finding THE perfect, highly pigmented white eyeshadow. The lightest shade of the naked smoky palette is my fave so far although I thought that there's a low budget eyeshadow that's almost as perfect as "Thirteen" because sometimes you only need one eyeshadow and not a whole palette. But since I wanted the naked smoky so bad...you know... :D

Anyway, I should have swatched this palette before buying as the lightest shades aren't that pigmented, tho the brown shadows are really good and I think overall they're very pretty.
And yes, I am sorry for the bad exposure but you know... it's winter, it gets dark earlier so I had to adjust lighting condition a bit.
(but I wrote some softboxes on my Christmas wishlist, so fingers crossed haha :D)
If there's enough time during my Christmas holidays I'll try to review this palette and also the other two pieces. As a whole makup look maybe :)

I also bought the "winter kissed cheeks" blush and the "you melt my heart" highlighter (2,99€ each).
I was looking for a powder highlighter for a while so I put that one in my basket in no time and the blush... it just looked very pretty haha I told you I'm a person who falls for a nice packaging very easily :D
I haven't tried them yet as I made myself an advent calendar (how sad is that hahaha but my bestie sent me one the other day and I cried THANK YOU ALINA) and they're a part of it :)

// Review: Urban Decay Naked Smoky

Hey ho Internet,
it's me again.
And I finally found enough time for testing my new baby and telling you about my first impression.
I've been curious about the new Naked palette by Urban Decay, I loved my Naked 3 because it's so rosey and pretty but I've been looking for something darker for a long, long time.
So when I heard about UD releasing a new palette, I was super excited and I just had to buy it.

The Urban Decay Naked Smoky is per-fect!
The shades are awesome and they're high pigmented, but I'd always recommend an eyeshadow base just for making the shades pop out more and to prevent crumbling.
The first look I created with this is a simple, not-too-dark smokey eyes makeup which you'll find at the end of this post :)
Talking about the packaging I have to admit that this has to be my fave.
I mean, look at it. the smoke in the background...
Also, the brush that comes with this palette is better than the one you get along with Naked 3.

The shades are called:
High-Dirtysweet-Radar-Armor-Slanted-Dagger-Black Market-Smolder-Password-Whiskey-Combust-Thirteen
Password, Whiskey, Combust and Thirteen are mattes and Black Market is such a pretty, satin-finish black and so far, they're my favourites.

Okay so for the first look I created, I used:
-Combust
-Whiskey
-Thirteen
-Black Market

First, I put some of Combust on the crease, followed by Whiskey, which i also used for creating a wing. Then I blended both of them as good as possible and continued with dabbing Thirteen on the lid, except on the outer corner.
For the outer corner and the lash lines, I used Black Market.
And it's all about blending haha

This is like the first time that I ever created a smokey eye that didn't look like pure shit haha
And excuse the bad quality..
It's just, I sit in front of my window when I'm taking photos for my blog and as it's autumn, it's just dark and grey all the time...
But I'll maybe get a ring light very soon so yeah...

Have a fab day

// Introducing: Lifehacks! #1 Better skin

Hey Internet!

Yea, I'm still alive.
And I've got to apologize for not posting for weeks but school just took over my life.
Anyway, I'm on summer holidays now which means enough time for blogging! YAY!

During the last few weeks of school I tried to think of new ideas what I could blog about besides hauls and reviews and I came up with some lifehacks.
They'll mostly be about healthy snacks but the first one will be different.

As you may know (and as I already said that multiple times), my skin simply sucks and is extremely sensitive. Having clear skin is something I've dreamed of for years.
Of course, you could say "Then why didn't you go see the dermatologist" but I'd answer "Because I'm insecure about my skin."
I know I shouldn't be and I know that dermatologists deal with problems which are worse than my pimples and blackheads... But you know...

Anyway, I've found something which really helped me and I want to tell you guys.
First of all: I'm NOT a dermatologist.
And I'm not sure if these things will work for you as well.

Products I used:

The Body Shop Olive Cream Body Scrub

Yes, it's not explicitly for your face and it could be too irritating for your skin, that's what I thought as mine is sensitive af but it somehow worked for me haha
Just don't be too harsh while rubbing it onto your face :)

Balea Soft & Clear night moisturizer

This creme contains zinc and salizylic acid, it mainly reduces facial redness.

In addition to these products you should focus on your eating behaviour.
I'm currently trying to cut short on sweets (had some chocolate today tho because it's my birthday haha) and fast food and I think it helped a lot eventhough I didn't change it because of my skin but because I felt like all that stuff made me sick (which it actually did).

So remember: eat healthy and drink lots of water, try The Body Shop body scrub and a moisturizer with a bit of salizylic acid and zinc.

:)

// Short shopping trip with dad

Hello Internet!

I'm so sorry for not posting for...well, it felt like I haven't posted in ages!
But a lot of (v v v awesome) things happened during the past weeks but I'll post about those things in the near future, so you better stay tuned ;)

Anyway, I went on a shopping trip with my dad and ended up buying some beauty products.
Just like always haha

Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact prices but I'll tell you what I think how much these products were :'D

Batiste Dry Shampoo ~ 4€
I love Batiste so much, those dry shampoos are the best I ever had and they actually really work for about one day.

Sagrotan profresh shower gel ~ 2€
I heard a lot of positive things about this one so I decided to try it.
It smells like peaches and raspberries but I wouldn't say that the "I just took a shower" feeling lasts longer (which is what the ad actually promised)

Maybelline dream Wonder Nude ~ 10€
I was super curious about this fluid makeup.
My skin is really bad and during summer I don't feel like putting a lot of makeup on my face, as my skin gets worse and worse each time but on the other hand, I'd never go out without makeup.
This product claims to be lightweight (which it absolutely is) and  it has a satin finish.
Surprisingly, it really covers spots eventhough the texture is almost like water.
It feels, like you're not wearing makeup and I love it so much.
Deffo going to buy this again!

Maybelline Fit me! powder in 120 ~6€
I thought I should try Fit me! products again because I used to like them.
But this power isn't as good as I thought it was.
I need a powder with at least medium coverage and this one doesn't cover spots at all.
Going to use it until it's empty anyway :)

Maybelline Lash sensational ~ 10€
MY NEW MASCARA LOVE!
I didn't think that this mascara would be worth the hype.
But it SO is!
It really separates your lashes and they're just so beautiful in the end.
I LOVE IT!

Catrice eyebrow stylist ~ 2,50€
I was tired of using eyebrow powder.
So now I'm using eyebrow powder AND an eyebrow pencil haha
Catrice eyebrow products are awesome, and I'd deffo recommend this one :)

DKNY delicious delights ~ 40€
Heaven in a bottle, guys!
This perfume smells like peaches (I love it so much omg) and it's so refreshing, you need to get yourself at least ONE of these.
The only thing that's a bit sad about this is the following:
It's an EDT.
Which means you won't be able to smell it as long as and EDP :(

We're done, guys!
I've been nominated for the "Liebster" Award so that's going to be my next post.
After that, there'll be a post about my 5SOS concert and some product reviews.
If you want a review one one or more products you've just seen: feel free to tell me :)

// Purple hair don't care

Greetings Internet!

Yesterday and today were kinda weird.
I got up at 7am and did my homework.
I usually never do my homework. Or at least, I do them the night before their due haha
Anyway, I also felt like changing something about my appearance.
Loosing weight is number 1 on my To-Do-list but it takes time and a whole ton of willpower.
I wanted something else. Something, that could be achieved fastly.
So I sat down and thought about things I wanted to change about my style/appearance/whatever.
And I found something.
If you know me, you probably know the blue hair I had like 3 years ago.
And ever since I had to get rid of them because of a former job, I wanted it back.
Blue, pink, purple, whatever!
I just wanted my colourful hair back.
And that's the actual reason why I started dyeing my hair blonde again.
Yesterday, I cut off about 7-10cm of my hair length.
No, I didn't want to but it just had to be done as there were countless split ends and my hair looked dead.
I've been cutting it myself for the past three or four years as I can't trust hairdressers anymore.
They f*cked it up too many times.
Anyway, today, I decided to dye them puple. As I already wanted to do this in summer 2014, I had different Direction shades at home.
The winner was Violet. And Lilac ;)

I'm not sure whether I'm going to regret this or not.
I'm not talking about dyeing my hair purple, I'd never regret that!
But I shouldn't have done that by myself.
I should've asked my mum to help me with the back of my head as I never knew if I just put enough hair dye on or not.
But in the end, it somehow turned out okay.

What I used:
Vaseline - to protect the scalp/hairline from the colour
La Riché Directions in Violet and Lilac - Hair Dye
Aussie conditioner - for mixing it with the Directions and brightening them uo
a (non-metallic) bowl
a brush
gloves

I mixed the Directions with the conditioner, applied the vaseline and started dyeing my hair.
As I said above, the result was okay.
I think it would've been better, if I had dyed my hair blonde again before applying Directions as my hair had like three different but kinda natural looking shades of blonde and now I have about three or four different shades of purple.
But I actually don't mind at all as I think it kinda looks cool.
Some people may look at me weirdly for that but I actually don't care about their opinion on my choices of hair dye haha
Also, Directions don't last that long, actually.
It'll be fully washed out by next week and after that I'm going to dye them blonde again (pug'in roots ya kno) and then dye them pastel pink for the wedding as that hair colour will match my choker and my purse haha

Ready for the result?

I somehow like how it's not only one colour.
Of course, I could've done better but this is actually the first time dyeing my whole head with Directions and yea...
Going to ask for help next time, tho' :)

// (Easter) Shopping Haul

Hey Internet,

I've got to be honest: I wanted to post this blogpost somewhen last week but as school started again, I barely had time to do anything beside homework and I woke up really early today (at 6am. What the pug is wrong with me ew) and did my homework for the next week and now I'm a free elf.
And I finally have enough time for blogging again. YAS!

As the title says, this will be a haul about some things I bought during the Easter holidays and before you guys start forejudging me: I saved money for this occasion and the Easter bunny was very generous this year :)

So, during the holidays, Anika and I went to Berlin as we wanted to get some clothes for our 5SOS concert in 27 days.
Let me just say one thing: I ended up buying a lot of things, just not for the concert. Ugh.

Anyway, I should start now haha

And the first thing I'm going to show you is a product that has been on my wishlist for such a long time but I've always been too thrifty.
The excuse I was telling myself was that I'm getting this myself as an Easter present haha

And it's the Urban Decay Naked 3.
It's beautiful.
The shades are awesome and you can wear them all day. When you're off to school, in the afternoon or when you go clubbing.
Along with my smashbox contour kit and my mac lipsticks it's probably my fave beauty product haha

UD Naked 3 - 47.99€

And of course we went to Primark.
I wanted to get a makeup bag for school and I ended up using it as a pencilcase haha
It's just too cute.
I bought a shirt, a sweater and two pairs of shoes as well haha
And a new choker that I'm going to wear at the wedding next month :)

Makeup bag - 4€
Choker - 2.50€
Polka Body Mist - 3.50€ <- I RECOMMEND THIS SO MUCH HAHA

T-Shirt "Brad Leo Ryan Zac Channing" - 10€

Sweater "is it the weekend yet?" - 9€
I love this one so much.
The sheer fabric makes it a perfect top for spring days when the sun is hiding behind the clouds.

Round sunglasses with matte frame - 2.50€

Trainers - 13€

Trainers - 13€

Let's take a look at what I bought when we went to Mac and Lush :)

Space Girl bathbomb - 3.95€

Grease Lightning Spot Treatment - 9.95€
Unfortunately, I don't recommend this at all as it doesn't help.
But I'll continue using it.
Still hoping it'll help someday haha

I had a bit of a MAC binge during the holidays.
As you may know, I love everything that's MAC (even their foundation matches my skintone, wow!)
So when my grandma asked me, what I wanted for Easter I said a new lippy and a lipliner.
And when she said it'd be okay if I ordered them I was beyond surprised, as MAC is a bit expensive.
But anyway, that day I ordered a lipstick and a lipliner.
Brave, which is a rosy nude for 20€ and Plum, a brownish red lipliner for 16€
When we went to Berlin, I couldn't help but buy another lipstick and two lipliners.
I went to every MAC store or shop that had a MAC counter as I was looking for Velvet Teddy until someone told me it was sold out worldwide.
Ugh.
But I found Honey Love (20€) instead.
And I'd say it's my fave nude lipstick so far.
It has a matte finish and is neither too dark nor too light.
I love wearing it together with the Whirl lipliner (16€) for the ultimate Kylie Jenner lips haha
And I bought the Soar lipliner (16€) which I'm going to wear along with Brave.

Left: Brave
Right: Honey Love

Swatches from left to right: Brave, Honey Love, Whirl, Soar, Plum

GOSH Cosmetics Foundation + Mascara: Sea Shop|Forgot the price

I'm going to start with the GOSH cosmetics makeup.
I bought those two things because I forgot my makeup bag when we left our coach in order to enter the ferry and I hate being around people when I'm not wearing makeup.
I went straight upstairs and headed to the seashop, took a foundation and a mascara and when I wanted to pay for them, the saleswoman told me there's that special offer that when you buy 2 GOSH products you'd get a free makeup bag.
I love makeup bags.
I just didn't know that there was a surprise inside until I sat down somewhere and took a look at the bag.
It had a blush, nailpolish, lipstick and an eyeliner inside. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
The colours are awesome, except for the eyeliner. It's like turquoise and I don't think I'm ever going to wear it :D

Another special offer were the Sharpies.
They usually are about £17 but they had that offer at WH Smith that if you buy anything, you'd get them for £8,49.
So I decided to get a TARDIS key tag as well :D

And I am aware that the Real Technique Core Collection kit is a bit cheaper at Superdrug, but when I saw them at Boots I didn't feel like going back to Superdrug just for those brushes.
Plus the difference is only like £1 or so.

That's it for today.
If you want me to write a review on any of these products (even on the turquoise eyeliner) feel free to tell me :)

BTW, my reviews will be in English and in German from now on :)
